Question: What Is A Trichologist?

Answer: A Trichologist is a practioner in the scientific study of, and the treatment of hair and scalp disorders and aliments. Trichologists are not medically qualified and are trained to a very high standard in the science of the health of the hair and scalp. The modern trichologist has been trained and works in conjuction with doctors, dermatologists, reseach scientists, pharmacists and chemists. A trichologist will undergo a rigorous course of training for a period of up to 2 to 3 years within either a private trichological clinic or practice and may even study with one of the many correspondance courses available today.
